I think as you see this, the answer would be..."Me!" Planning a vacation can be stressful if you let it. Today, I would like to share some of my simple tips for planning a vacation. Keep in mind our vacations are at least 2 years apart for we save up for them & pay cash. No credit card debt for us.
1.) Decide where you & your family would like to go for a vacation.
2.) Does the location fit into your overall budget?
3.) Research for any discounts the destination may have. Look into best times of the year to visit. Costs could be lower.
4.) Do you have a credit card that gives you points to use as money? My card gives me back 1.5% points that equals cash on what I send to pay our bills. Our food budget has bee partially paid by this perk!
5.) Use a very small note book to write where to eat in amusement parks, local area which are frugal. Helps use the time wisely.
6.) Watch videos & read articles for the destination you are going. This has helped me greatly in planning our trips. I learn something new for each destination.
7.) Make sure to have at least one free day to go explore the area outside of an amusement park. You would be surprised what you can discover.
8.) Stick to your budget! Going over will bring great stress when you arrive home. I make a game out of keeping within our budget. In life I am frugal & enjoy making things stretch in our daily household budget.
9.) Use your phone to take lots of photos so you can put on a flash drive. Then you can either make a fun movie or print out a few photos to display.
10.) Make sure to have fun! You created beautiful plans so you deserve to enjoy them.
My hope is you have discovered a simple ways to plan your vacation within whatever budget you may have.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!
