A Few Thoughts On Life

My hubby and I had a good discussion when he was home last Friday. So much to talk about since he has been working out of town currently. The topic was something that needed to be discussed.

We both work very hard every single day. Time is going by and we are not getting any younger. I shared my ideas of how we need to have 3-4 day get aways for just he and I. We have been here in east Tennessee for 6.5 years now and need to enjoy what our state and attached states have.

Don't get me wrong, I am content in my life. Both kids are young adults and we need time away from home. Short breaks from daily life are needed.

Here in Tennessee, we have so many beautiful historical sites. As a kid, my parents and I would do things like this. It was so much fun! Our country is just beautiful.

Next month, I will begin doing some research in our state and make a short weekend plan for us. We do have a big vacation coming up in a few months to Florida Universal Studios. Our son is taking that one with us. It will have been 2 years since our last vacation.

We figure we could work ourselves weary or make some of our time super fun with mini vacations on a budget. Our last vacation was free. We saved our credit card points to pay for hotel, food and tickets. Took us 5 years to do that.
