Fall has arrived and is my favorite time of the year. My meals are made in my crockpot, stovetop and oven. Many soups and stews are on my meal calendar. Healthy, warming and tasty meals and desserts great for myself and family. This recipe is super easy. I do use my older apples that are on the soft side if I have any. Otherwise I use the apples I have canned.
This apple cake is very simple to make. If you don't have butter use a non-seed oil. I do use oilive oil or butter. Oh, organic applesauce works well too. Extra moist and yummy. Feel free to change up the type of fruit and nuts you make this cake type loaf with. Several months ago used canned peaches. Use your imagination and make it your own.
Recipe:
1/2 Cup butter or oil
1 Cup sugar ( I always use much less)
2 eggs or 1/4 Cup applesauce per egg to replace
1 /1/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 Cup fresh or chopped up canned apples
1/2 Cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a loaf pan or place parchment paper in the pan. Mix all dried ingredients together than add the wet ingredients. Mix well. Will be chunky.
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!!!
